Hallmark Version on Youtube

There are some differences between the movie and the stage version. Below are links to several theater production to give you a better idea of what the show looks like on stage.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
PLEASE arrive early for your time slot so we can stay on schedule.

If you're submitting videos, please record your monologue and song separately. Upload each file to youtube, make them "Unlisted" (so that anyone with a link can view), and include the links on your audition form.

**NOTE: In order to expand opportunities for our younger actors, we are considering creating a separate prologue scene with singing, lines, and choreography! This group will likely rehearse once a week, and will be featured at the start of the show. This is a great way to have some focused training time for younger and less experienced actors. To be cast in the prologue scene, actors must sign up for the student auditions--not everyone who auditions is guaranteed a spot.

SONG

  • You will sing a memorized, Broadway-style (not contemporary pop) song that is 1 to 2 minutes maximum in length.
  • Don't choose a song just because you like it-- choose one that fits YOUR voice well.
  • Please bring a device with your accompaniment track. We will provide a speaker to connect to, or you may bring your own.

MONOLOGUE

  • Your Monologue should be memorized if possible. Please choose a character/monologue from the linked sheet that is the right age range for you.
  • In order to portray these caricatured roles well, we are looking for you to be a character-- that includes your best British accent!
AUDITION MONOLOGUES
